For those who would like to attend, we are returning to SKY STUDIOS in ELSTREE to take part
We need to achieve a minimum of 20 students and a maximum of 30 students (excluding accompanying adults).
Sky Up Academy Studios is Sky’s flagship initiative to develop creativity and digital skills through a unique and immersive experience. We are thrilled to have opened the doors of our newest, state-of-the-art film and TV studios in Elstree to students, giving them the opportunity to create their very own pitch film in our state-of-the-art Extended Reality (XR) studios.
The Sky Up Academy Studios Elstree experience has been designed for students aged between 11-19

2021-22

We have celebrated Burn’s Night and St. Patrick’s in our own special way. We have had a troop election that earned one patrol a tub of sweets… but election promises that they made did not hold up as well as their manifestos!
Somehow… in 2021-23 we managed to have 3 opportunities to camp giving up to 8 nights away –

  • our relaxing and ease back into it camp in December at PGL – with added central heating…
  • our Spring Camp that has a note to self of sleep miles away from Cub Girls… or put them in a field far away…
  • and the District and Family Camp.

We have been trying to get out of the HQ a bit more.

Thank you to Ben and the Explorers for leading the Night Hike in February.
Getting out of the building has meant heading to the Battle of Britain Bunker in November (which was nice as it was open just for us), the RAF Museum gave us a day out in February in the District mini bus. Trying a bit of culture in attending and Organ Recital in June… and being able to end the term with a water fight on a hot sunny early evening in July.
Swim Gala with the District after Covid was not one of brilliant ideas… but congratulations to those that took part. The 5-a-side football District Competition
Outside of proper Scouting… a few from each section took time out to watch Women’s Football at Wembley

Congratulations to our Jack Petchy Award winners for 2021-2

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
