How can my child join the Beaver Scouts section?
17th Harrow Beavers group is available to children who are either in Year 2 or Year 3, which normally covers the age group of 6 to 8 years old.
As places are limited by the group size, our waiting list is based on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Places tend to become available between September and October when our Beaver Scouts move up to the Cub section.

If you would like your child to be added to the waiting list please send an email to
beaverswaitinglist@hotmail.co.uk
Please can you put your child’s name and your child’s date of birth in the SUBJECT box.

What do they wear?
Please see the section on Uniform.

Do I have to stay?
No, you can leave your child with us and the other Beaver Scouts for the hour. However, we do encourage parent helpers.
In addition, there may be times, for example walks, trips and days out, when we do need parents to help and are glad for any volunteers.
Also, once a year we have our “Beavers Got Talent” evening and the Beaver Scouts look forward to performing in front of their parents.

What happens after Beavers?
The next stage is that your child will go to our Cubs section.
They will move to the Scout section in Year 6.

The Beaver Scout Promise

I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love God.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
