Annual Night Hike
There is an old say of “Charity begins at home” and no closer is home than the community we serve through our charitable works with the Scout Association.
For nearly 100 years at 17th Harrow Scout Group we have provided amazing opportunities for young people from all walks of life and can only do so through the charity of our community.
After a difficult few years in which we have had to close and therefore have not had the income we would normally bring in, we now find ourselves in a position whereby we are seeking support for fundraising in order to continue providing the life changing opportunities for our members and young people.
We have many projects both to our Headquarters and our programme planning for our young people and we need your help to achieve this.
For many years, we have hosted the Hike as a sponsored walk for various charities… but this year… we need to work closer to home.
The night hike for Beavers and Cubs will take place on Tuesday 21 February and Scouts will be on Friday 24 February 2023.
Please support this fundraising in the aid of much needed repairs and maintenance.
Young People will be sent home with the Sponsorship form (a copy can also be found below). Please consider putting your name on our sponsorship form and either contribute an amount per kilometre or a total sum for our upcoming sponsored walk. If you know of any companies that support sponsorships… please do let us know.
The hike
The walk is a short route of approx. 5km around Harrow-on-the-Hill and Harrow School grounds.
