100 years of Scouting

Date: 14th May 2025 Author: Carol Baird

We were first registered on 13 May 1925.

Meeting in the Parish hall of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, we were initially registered as a Catholic group, under the name of ‘Saint Joseph’s Wealdstone’. Our registration shows that we began with 15 Scouts and 2 leaders.

On the 19 April 1928, along with a move to our current site, we were renamed 17th Harrow (Catholic)… the name that we still hold today.

Our Scouting family is as important today as it was when we were first registered… and it would be great if as many of us could celebrate that together!

We would love to see you at our celebration BBQ on SATURDAY 31 MAY

(If you know others who used to be part of 17th and they haven’t heard… please do let them know)

BBQ and drinks will be available.

Donations accepted.
